Becoming a Member at Redeemer

Step 1. Attend a Membership Class

Membership classes are 3-week classes held once in the fall and once in the spring. Lunch and childcare are provided. You are not required to become a member after taking the class.

Step 2. Register for Membership & Confirmation Sunday

  • Include your full name.

  • Will you be confirmed, received, or reaffirmed by the Bishop?

    • Confirmed: I am going through confirmation by a Bishop for the very first time.

    • Received: Received: I have been confirmed by a Bishop in a different denomination.

    • Reaffirmed: I have been confirmed previously by a Bishop in an Anglican Church.

  • Indicate which service (9:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m.) you plan to attend.

Step 3. Fill out the Membership Pledge Form

Redeemer asks all members to pledge their time, talent and treasure. New members are also asked to share a short testimony of their life with Christ. Click here to submit your membership pledge form for our current ministry year (2025-2026).

Step 4. Register for a Membership Interview with one of the following staff members

Step 5. Be present at Membership & Confirmation Sunday

Participating as a member of Redeemer is an embodied experience, therefore it is mandatory that you are present in person at Membership & Confirmation Sunday.

What happens on Membership & Confirmation Sunday?

  • Plan to arrive 30 minutes early for service for a brief rehearsal of the Confirmation ceremony with the Bishop.

  • The Bishop will lay hands on and pray for every individual becoming a member.

  • Each new member will sign our Membership book.

  • You will be joyfully received by the congregation!

  • You are invited to eat lunch with Bishop Chris and other new members after the 11:00 a.m. service.
