The Rev. Dan Marotta
Rector
Dan is the founding Rector (Lead Pastor) of Redeemer. He holds a B.A. in Family Therapy Psychology from The College of William & Mary and an M.Div. from Denver Seminary. He is the author of Liturgy in the Wilderness: How the Lord's Prayer Shapes the Imagination of the Church in a Secular Age and co-author of Our Church Speaks: An Illustrated Devotional of Saints from Every Era & Place. Dan is married to Rachel (his high school sweetheart) and together they live in the city with their dog and four children.
Orlando Palmer
Artist-In-Residence
Orlando was born and raised in Richmond and studied song-writing at Berklee College Of Music. Orlando is a professional artist/producer who has travelled the world touring and songwriting but takes pride in being an artist in his home town and community.
The Rev. Lane Cowin
Senior Director of Ministries
Lane is a transplanted Yank from New York, but spent most of her life in Virginia, first in Northern VA and then Charlottesville, before arriving in Richmond. She graduated from the University of VA with a B.A. in Religious Studies and a B.S. in Psychology, and later received her Master of Divinity from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. She received her certification in Spiritual Direction from Selah (Massachusetts). Her favorite thing to do is sit with someone and hear their story. Other favorite things include hiking, reading, and protecting her many potted plants from her two destructive cats.
Jeff King
Senior Director of Operations
Jeff came to Richmond via Boston and Philadelphia with Elizabeth and their two daughters. He holds an M.Div. from Westminster Theological Seminary with an emphasis in counseling. He enjoys creatively utilizing systems to help people experience deeper connection with God and each other.
Casey Cisco
Director of Redeemer Kids
Casey is an Alabama native, who moved to Virginia in the summer of 2018 with her husband and two boys. Casey has a B.A. in Theology and Intercultural Ministries and a passion for mission work and theological education. Her favorite way to spend free time is exploring the outdoors with her boys, reading fiction, and searching for new creative outlets.
Oldson Duclos
Director of Community Formation
Oldson holds a Master of Divinity from Cairn University, enjoys an eclectic taste in food and music, and is filled by going deep in conversations. He and his wife Briana (Bree) are committed to hospitality, loving people well, and new adventures.
Christian Hayes
Director of Youth Fellowship
Christian is a Richmond native. After graduating from Virginia Tech, he moved home, married Amanda, taught high school English, and coached baseball for many years. He and Amanda now have four sons. In addition to overseeing Redeemer’s youth ministry, he works at VCU hospital as an RN in the Medical Respiratory ICU. He reads and writes as often as possible—and occasionally gets away to hunt and fish.
Sarah Holloway
Parish Administrator
Sarah grew up in a military family and thus never knows how to answer the question, “where are you from?” If pressed, she would have to say Blacksburg, VA, where she graduated from Virginia Tech with a BA and MA in English, married Josh, and started a family. In her free time, Sarah enjoys getting lost in a good book, going on walks, and spending time with friends over a delicious meal.
Mikala Thompson
Assistant Director of Redeemer Kids
Mikala has lived most of her life in Richmond and has a deep love of this city. She has a B.A. in Music, a Minor in Education, and a Certification in Disability Studies from VCU. She and her husband, Peter, met while doing high school speech and debate, and together they have a new baby girl, Juniper. When not playing strategy board games together, they love having people over, listening to vinyl, and visiting the many coffee shops around Richmond.
Kate Ramsdell
Youth Fellowship Assistant
A Baltimore native, Kate moved to Richmond in 2022 after completing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University Maryland. Kate is thrilled to bring her heart for young women’s mental, emotional, and spiritual growth to the Redeemer Youth Fellowship team after volunteering with the ministry for the past two years. Around town, you can spot Kate walking her dog, playing games with friends, or at an improv show!

Tee Feyrer
College Minister — U. of R.
Tee grew up in Long Island, NY and graduated from the University of Richmond with a degree in Leadership Studies. He serves as our College Minister to the University of Richmond. Tee is married to his wife, Tori, and they live in the Near West End, where they can be found cooking and sharing many meals with others.
Audrey Cisco
College Minister — U. of R.
Audrey is originally from Oklahoma and has spent much of her life further south in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama, but her biggest adventure was living in Scotland prior to Richmond. Audrey received her B.S. in Christian Ministry and Psychology from Blue Mountain College and her M.Div. from Beeson Divinity School at Samford University. Audrey lives in Northside with her husband Charlie and two children Danni and Harvey, where she enjoys cooking and sharing food with family and friends.
Will Clark
College Minister — V.C.U.
Will serves as our College Minister to VCU. Originally from Chattanooga, Will studied English at Furman University and theology at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Before moving to Richmond, he served on pastoral staff of a church plant in Greater Boston. He lives near VCU's campus with his wife Maddy and their three boys.

Deacon
Ben is an artist, author, and native Richmonder. He studied at the University of Richmond and loves retelling the history of the global church through art and storytelling. He lives in Carytown with his wife Bethany and a house full of books.
The Rev. Steve Byrd
Deacon
With degrees from JMU and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, decades of sales, development, and discipling experience, international travel, 41 years of marriage, and raising two daughters, Steve has experienced the power of the gospel to transform lives. In addition to leading The Aniko Project, Steve is honored to now be serving as a Deacon.
Lisa Yancey
Women’s Fellowship Coordinator
While Lisa is proud to say she’s from Pittsburgh, she and her husband David raised their 4 children in NOVA then Reading, PA, and as empty nesters moved to Richmond in 2019 to be close to their 2 grandsons, and were graciously led to Redeemer in 2022. Lisa loves authentic conversations and learning from others - not only with her long-distance adult children but whomever the Lord puts in her path. She looks forward to serving in this capacity and is excited to see how God meets the needs of the women in our parish.
Danny Clark
Men’s Fellowship Coordinator
Danny grew up in Northern Virginia and vowed to never move back. He attended James Madison University, studying Art History and Religion, and received his M.Div. from Covenant Seminary. Danny served as a youth minister in Richmond for 5 years and 13 years as a college pastor in South Carolina. He is married to the faithful, patient, and wise, Aspa Clark. They are parents to a college-aged son, Coleman. He loves Blue Bell ice cream, flower boxes, and watching Nordic Noir TV series.
Christa Vickers-Smith
Care Team Coordinator
Christa and her husband Jason along with their 2 daughters, Emma and Lily, have called Redeemer home for the last 6 years. A native Richmonder, Christa has walked through seasons of great suffering as well as great healing. She has experienced first hand the power of prayer, of body of Christ bearing each other’s burdens, and seeing every joint supply! Her passion has become pursuing wholeness in spirit, soul, and body, and walking alongside others in their journeys. She is excited to come on board at Redeemer and see how the Lord wants to show Himself strong to the hearts of His people!
Sarah Bergh
Parish House Manager
Sarah was raised in Wisconsin but has lived in Virginia for 35 years. She graduated from JMU with a degree in business and has spent her adult life first working in the banking industry and now, along with her husband Geff, raising their two kids (now both teenagers). They live in the Northside. When not driving her kids around, Sarah loves to read, listen to music, watch sports (especially baseball!), and complete jigsaw puzzles.
Teryn Morgan
MomCo Coordinator
Teryn has lived in Richmond since 2015 after completing a Bachelor's of Cultural Communication Studies at James Madison and a Master's of Spanish and Bilingual Education at George Mason University. She taught both private and public high school Spanish before stepping into a full time role as a work-at-home mother. She and her husband, Matt, have three beautiful daughters and in her freetime Teryn enjoys gardening, reading, spending time outdoors, and encouraging authentic community wherever she is planted.
Naomi Brackett
Justice & Mercy Coordinator
Naomi is a native Richmonder who is excited to be back in her hometown after several years living abroad. She received her B.A. in Literary and Cultural Analysis from the University of Amsterdam. When not following her wandering feet on adventures around the globe, Naomi loves all cozy pursuits - you'll often find her where there are good books, good conversations, or a good cup of tea.
