REDEEMER KIDS
At Redeemer Kids, our goal is to facilitate the discipleship and spiritual growth of children in our parish through thoughtful, age-appropriate classes on Sunday mornings. Children are a gift from the Lord and a vital part of the body of Christ; each bear the image of God with unique gifts to offer their families, neighbors, and the world. We aim to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which children: learn the story of the Bible, are discipled by caring adults, and actively participate in the worship life of the Church.
Nursery
Every child has a full spiritual life! We practice this belief in the nursery through reading scripture-based books, singing songs, and prayer — reminding each child they are a part of God’s story and belong in His family! As part of our nursery, it is our joy to partner with parents each week in nurturing both the physical and spiritual lives of their children.
Redeemer’s Nursery is open for babies 6 months to 2 years of age for the entire duration of the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. services. Parents are always welcome to accompany their child in the nursery or visit them at any point during the service.
3 Years - Grade Six
Children are a vital part of the body of Christ and we welcome them to participate in all areas of corporate worship, including the sacraments of baptism and the Eucharist. During a typical worship service children three and older are invited to their classes after the Collect of the Day and return after Confession.
Our children’s classes are a time for discipleship through meaningful relationships and age-appropriate activities. 3’s-PreK learn through Young Children & Worship, a beautifully written story-based curriculum designed to introduce Bible stories and the sacraments. Our K-5th graders enjoy learning catechisms and the story of the Bible through God’s Big Story curriculum.
What to Expect on
Sunday Morning

Every child 5th grade and under is required to be checked in to participate in Redeemer Kids classes.
There is a check-in table located by the nursery before every service where a volunteer coordinator can help a parent/guardian register their child for Redeemer Kids. There is also self-check in kiosk available for returning families.
Each child will receive a printed name-tag with a safety code that corresponds with a safety code sticker for the parent/guardian. A matching safety sticker is required to pick up children Pre-K and under from Redeemer Kids.

Every Sunday morning, Redeemer Kids offers a Three’s, PreK, K-1st Grade, 2nd-3rd Grade, and 4th-5th Grade class that meet for 45 minutes during the 9:00 a.m. and the 11:00 a.m. service. Children are invited to attend age appropriate classes after the Collect of the Day, then are dismissed from their classes to rejoin their families in corporate worship following the announcements.

Redeemer Kids considers safety of the highest priority for our children and volunteers. We utilize MinistrySafe to screen and train all staff and volunteers, follow the 5-step safety protocols implemented by DOMA, build current and detailed safety policies, and structure all events that include childcare. Every volunteer has completed background checks (updated every 2 years), an extensive application, reference checks, and sexual abuse awareness trainings. Redeemer Kids uses a check-in system on Sunday mornings for any child attending children’s church.

Register Your Child(ren)
Will you be visiting Redeemer for the first time? Register your child ahead of Sunday morning to help streamline your check-in process. Otherwise, you can register your child at our check-in desk on Sunday.
Pre-Service Check-in
You can now check-in your children before you arrive for worship on Sundays using the ChurchCenter app for iOS and Android. After you check in, the app will show a QR code to scan using the camera at our check-in kiosks, automatically generating all of the labels you'll need.
